Our New Addition

As some of you may know, we’ve decided to consolidate our motorcycle and two older cars into one newer car and a motorcycle, since Caleb will be gone most of the year.  It would be silly for me to have two cars and a motorcycle all to myself.  So, we’ve sold Caleb’s car and have had some offers already on my car but had to wait to sell until we got our new car, which we did, this past Tuesday!

I’m in love!

We had to drive nearly ten hours round-trip to Nashville to get the specific Civic and good deal we wanted, but it’s here and we’re very happy to have it!

Okay, just wanted to share the good and exciting news!

Oh, and thanks to all of you who voted in our photo contest post and our apologies to those of you who try to comment and can’t get it to work.  The only thing I can think of is that it’s some sort of security setting on your browser or something but unfortunately I’m not much of an expert in that field.

I guess you’ll see which photo or photos we choose when you see our photo mat at the fake wedding in four months!

Easy Upgrade

For UPT graduation, each spouse gets a lovely red rose with some greenery and baby’s breath.  Unfortunately I did not get to enjoy my rose for more than a few hours since we left early the next morning, and of course it was quite dead by the time we returned.  But, baby’s breath being a floral immortal, it was still looking beautiful when we came back, so I left that in the vase for a while until the water and stems got gross and even then I hated to through out the perfectly good white little blooms so I thought I’d try sticking them in one of my houseplants just to see and I really liked how it came out!

Forgive the amateur photography, but hopefully you can see what a nice, quick, cheap little upgrade the baby’s breath gives the plant!

Pick a Picture

Today we received the files and copyright to our top ten picks from our engagement photo shoot!

In lieu of a traditional guestbook, we are doing the good ‘ole “stick picture in frame with oversized mat, have people sign mat, display in home” maneuver.

To encourage reader participation and test to see if people who were having trouble posting comments are still having trouble, leave a comment as to which one you think would be a good choice.  If you’re not sure which option to pick in the “comment as” drop-down menu, choose anonymous and leave your name or some esoteric reference that will remove any doubt in our minds as to your identity in your comment.  :-)

Col. Mozeleski educates the class and audience on Air Force pilot traditions, including the breaking of the wings

Kind of a longish one--this is a glimpse of the Montego Bay and the Jamaican countryside as we would see it 4+ times a day as we rode the shuttle back and forth between where we were staying and the larger resorts. I didn't provide any narration because I was hoping to capture a little bit of the conversation of the British people who also rode the shuttle a lot and I loved listening to them talk. :-)

Decked the Halls

Here are some pictures from last month of some festive little additions to our house.

Our house with lights.  Simple and pretty, I think.

Two ruffle-y wreaths I made, tutorial here.  You're actually supposed to use felt, but the wonderful Wal-Mart here in the middle of nowhere, my only crafty supplier, did not have red felt.  Sigh.  So I used some red flannel and some white cotton-ish fabric on clearance and I think it still turned out pretty well.

And here's a shot of my copy of our pretty purple party centerpiece--kind of difficult to photograph well, at least, difficult for me, but it's just a sawed off branch stuck in a vase with dirt and sprayed with a little fake white snow stuff and adorned with $1 plastic glittery snowflakes that I bought from the felt-less Wal-Mart last year.  If you look closely you can see some of my beloved snowflakes dangling in the doorway and our Christmas cards around the mirror.

Pictures Galore

Hello all,

Wow, we've been very heavily photographed recently.

To see pictures from Caleb's graduation, Jamaica, and a few from our trips home, click here

To see our "engagement" pictures gallery click here! We'll be selecting our ten favorites and purchasing them but we haven't done that yet so bear in mind that these are closer to all of the shots than the best shots.

Stay tuned for a few videos from the past month and few other random pictures!  Hope you enjoy.
